Flying from Lima into the Andes we come to the beautiful city of Arequipa, home to the 16th century Santa Catalina Convent. Close to the city is the spectacular Colca Canyon, the deepest canyon on earth. Next stop is Puno where the mystical lake Titicaca is located. We continue to Cusco with its magnificent Inca sites, whilst out in the Urubamba Valley, colourful local markets and imposing Inca fortresses adn Machupicchu await.

    City Tour Lima

    The city tour begins in the lively seaside district of Miraflores to visit the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site. In the historic center of town we visit the convent of San Francisco, where you will see the impressive catacombs beneath the church. The end of the tour will take you through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean.

    Arequipa The White city

    Fly to Arequipa, known as the "White City" due to the colour of its sillar architecture. Private afternoon tour of Arequipa including a visit to the Santa Catalina Convent - a beautiful walled city within the city itself. The rest of the day at leisure to explore and maybe people watch from one of the balcony cafes on the main square.

    Arequipa, Colca

    Travel through volcanic scenery to the Colca Canyon this morning in tourist bus - this is a very scenic road journey, passing herds of grazing llama and wild vicuñas at altitudes of over 4000 metres. At the end of the day you can visit the local hot springs.

    Colca, Puno

    You will visit the Condor's Cross in the morning to look for the famous Andean Condors. This afternoon we drive east, heading towards the beautiful landscapes that surround the unique waters of Lake Titicaca in Puno.

    Lake Titicaca

    You will take to the waters of the mystical Lake Titicaca, where you will visit the people who live on floating islands made entirely of reeds, and the weaving communities on Taquile Island.


    Transfer by tourist coach across the stunning altiplano through pretty villages and past grazing vicuna to the former Incan capital of Cuzco.

    Cusco City Tour

    This morning we start the tour visiting the local food market that is one of our highlights. A short drive brings you to the vast sacred sanctuary of Sacsayhuaman. Later we observe firsthand the workings of Lucas the local curandero, a mestizo medicine man to perform an ancient healing ritual. After this special experience we come back to Cusco to explore the magnificent Qoricancha ‘Sun Temple’ whose interior walls were once covered in gold leaf.

    Sacred Valley

    Today we’ll drive into the country side outside Cusco, The Sacred valley, full of farmer’s fields, mountain views and quiet rural charm; you have the whole day to enjoy its delights. On route we visit Awanacancha, It is like a petting zoo comprised of Llamas and alpacas. After the farm you will visit one of the most impressive Inca citadels, Pisac. Before going to the hotel we stop in Pisac market where the local artisan market fills the main Plaza with bustle and brighty-coloured costume.

    Maras Moray and cooking clases with a local family

    We visit the Maras salt pans, a fascinating system of platforms still used to extract salt from a natural mountain spring. Further down the road are the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray. Here, different levels of terraces are carved into huge bowls. Then we drive to the sacred valley to join a local family to learn how they cook some of their traditional recipes.

    Ollantaytambo and Machupicchu

    Tour the spectacular mountaintop fortress of Ollantaytambo made of gray and rose-color granite before taking the train to Machupicchu that is one of the greatest of all archaeological sites. Traveling to the town Aguas Calientes we wind our way through the Urubamba valley, taking in the majestic scenery as we pass. A guided tour will help to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the site. Bus drive to the hotel.

    Machupicchu, Chinchero, Cusco

    This morning is at leisure to explore the Machupicchu area on your own. A must-see highlight of Machupicchu is the gate of the sun. Narrow steps are cut into the hillside leading up to a stone archway that frames the valley. Experiencing the ruins at sunrise is always recommended as long as weather cooperates. En route to Cuzco, stop in Chincheros, a high-mountain town known for its skilled weavers. Then we drive to the hotel.
